July 4 Spectacular: Music of Chicago

Love a good tune? Grab your tickets to Orange County’s Pacific Symphony celebration at the OC Fair & Event Center. Starting at 6 pm, they will have pre-concert entertainment consisting of the Orange County Wind Ensemble. At 8 pm, they will kick off their main event with the music of Chicago, performed by Brass Transit. This beautiful summer evening will end with a sizzling firework show alongside patriotic tunes. Best of all? Parking is free this year! 

Newport Beach Independence Day on the Back Bay

Newport Beach is known for its beautiful scenery and abundance of activities, and definitely does not disappoint on the Fourth of July. Head on down to Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort for a fun day in the sun, starting at 8 am - 11 pm for a fun kayaking, paddle boarding, or choose from several other water activities. Stay for live music starting around 2 pm with entertainment ranging from Indie Pop to Country music. Hosting will be DJ David Bugenske with performers like, Wild Child, Skynard Reloaded, and more surprises to come! As your day winds down, find a cozy spot on beach for the spectacular firework show put on by the City of Newport Beach at 9 pm. You can get a head start by purchasing reserved parking, or arriving early to find street parking.

Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Taking place on Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway to Yorktown Ave.

The surf capital of America is not just a great place to catch a wave, but also one of the most historic places in SoCal to spend the Fourth. This year marks its 113th celebration! The July 4th festivities start July 1, with the Pier Plaza Festival continuing until the 4th of July. Fuel up the morning of the Fourth with a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 10 am! Don’t miss out on Huntington’s annual parade starting at 10 am, showcasing their classic theme:  A Star Spangled Salute. Choose to observe as a bystander or purchase bleacher seating tickets. Once 9 pm hits, their firework show begins!

Fullerton's 29th annual 4th of July Community Festival & Fireworks Show

Don’t feel like spending a day in the sand? Fullerton has you covered with their community festival and firework show.  The festival includes family activities, live music, food vendors, kid rides and so much more! Live Classic Rock music will be performed by Deke Dickerson and the Ecofonics, with a few surprises! Activities include face paint, balloon art, fun house, and more adult and kid friendly-fun. While entrance is free, activities can range from $1- $5. The festival begins at 5 pm and ends with the choreographed firework show at 9 pm. Parking can be found at the Wilshire parking structure, the Plummer structure, street parking downtown, with handicap accessible parking at the school.

4th of July in Laguna Beach

If you’re determined to relax on Independence Day and prefer not to leave your house for anything but fireworks, make your way down to Laguna. The Laguna Beach City firework show will originate from Monument Point at Heisler Park this year. With the show beginning at 9pm, you may want to arrive early to find a good spot on the beach and close parking.

34th annual Concert on the Green

This year, the Irvine Police Association is holding their 34th annual concert on the green. Gates to this extravaganza open at 3 pm to reveal field entertainers with games and activities, bounce houses, raffles, and gourmet food trucks! Live music will be performed by the dynamic Derek Bordeaux Group, performing Motown classics, Jazz, R&B, and Blues. The firework show at Irvine High School Stadium begins at 9 pm with Pyro Spectaculars putting on a musical concert in the sky! Pack some lawn chairs in the back of your Audi and bring your favorite blanket. Purchase tickets at the stadium box office the day of or pick up your family tickets at Irvine City Hall prior to the event.
