What are the Features of Audi quattro® All-Wheel Drive?

Audi quattro® is an all-wheel-drive system that's built to handle wet-weather, dry roads, and more. This technology features a 40:60 rear torque bias and systems tailored to your Audi vehicle, making you feel in control for every mile driven in Irvine. The Audi quattro® all-wheel-drive system also includes: 

  • Sport Differential- This system uses the rear wheels to boost cornering, and is available on Audi models like the RS and S models. Through the use of an active rear differential, power is sent to the outside rear wheel and acceleration is increased by 10%. 

  • Variable Torque Split- The front and rear wheels have the engine power split between them. This allows power adjustments to be made quickly and to the wheels that need it the most. This helps compensate for changing road conditions. 

  • Torque Vectoring- Through this feature, physics is employed to make cornering more precise. When rounding a corner, torque is transferred to the outside wheels as the inside wheels start to brake, making for a more precise turn.
